Is the Cadillac LYRIQ EV eligible for tax credit?
Yes, newly produced 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ crossovers are now eligible for $7,500 in federal clean energy vehicle tax credits. However, some LYRIQ crossovers that were already built, with some battery materials sourced outside North America became ineligible for the federal tax credit. General Motors will provide $7,500 in immediate bonus cash for qualifying electric vehicles (including the 2023 and some 2024 LYRIQ). What is the LYRIQ's range?
The rear wheel drive LYRIQ, powered by a 340-horsepower single-motor powertrain, offers an EPA estimated 314 miles* while all-wheel drive gets up to 307 miles* and is powered by a 500-horsepower dual-motor powertrain.
How long does it take to charge the LYRIQ?
The charging time for the Cadillac LYRIQ can vary based on the charging equipment and power level used. Here are some approximate estimates:
- Standard Home Charging (120-volt/1.4 kW plug): Using a standard household outlet, it may take around 8 to 12 hours to fully charge the LYRIQ from empty.
- 240-volt/7.7 kW Plug: If you have access to a 240-volt Level 2 charging station, the charging time can be significantly reduced. It might take approximately 3 to 4 hours for a full charge.
- Ultium Powerup Level 2 Charging Station: With the optional Ultium Powerup Level 2 charging station, you can achieve even faster charging. The exact time will depend on the specific station and its power output, but it could be as quick as 1 to 2 hours for a full charge.

What type of charger does the Cadillac LYRIQ use?

Can I charge my Cadillac LYRIQ at a Tesla charging station?
Yes, you can charge the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ at a Tesla charger as long as you have the North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter. Starting in 2025, the LYRIQ will come equipped with the NACS port so drivers won't need an adapter to charge at a Tesla charger.
